Historically the Vosges is an area of many handicrafts. Both the history as the products of i.e. the glass-blower, the cheese-maker, the beer brewer, the open-work embroidery seamstress and the woodcarver can still be admired in several museums and studios.
Les Quatre Saisons is a superb home base for a range of activities. Furthermore, you will be able to visit many medieval and roman monumental buildings such as convents, castles and fortresses.
Wells are situated in a large part of the Vosges. Almost every town hast it’s own old washing place or fountain which are still being well kept and are now local landmarks. Including Martinvelle ’s own washing place.
